DIN Deutsches Institut für Normung e. V.
Beuth Verlag was founded in 1924 by DIN, the German Institute for Standardization, together with the Association of German Engineers (VDI). A registered non-profit association, DIN is the national standards organization for Germany. In 1993 the standards bodies of Austria (ON) and Switzerland (SNV) also became shareholders of Beuth Verlag GmbH, with DIN remaining the principle shareholder.
DIN Software
Founded by the German technical associations VDA, VDMA and ZVEI in 1988, DIN Software's main tasks are to maintain databases for the DIN Group - including the DITR bibliographic database on standards and technical rules from around the word - and to provide businesses with information on all aspects of standards and standardization. Today DIN Software is a full subsidiary of DIN.
VDE Verlag GmbH
VDE Verlag is Germany's leading publisher of electrotechnical literature. It publishes and distributes VDE Standards, IEC publications, and books and journals on electrical engineering.
