Privacy statement

You do not have to identify yourself in any way to visit our open web sites or online services.

We do need your personal information to complete any transactions such as ordering, registering, providing download services, processing requests, delivering products and invoicing. All personal data is stored in a secure database which is only accessible to a select number of persons. This data includes your name, address, log-in information (user name and password) and, in some cases, your IP address.

This data will not be shared with any third party outside the DIN Group. Within the DIN Group, access to your information is limited to authorized personnel only, and only when necessary to fulfil specific transactions, such as orders.

We withhold the right to process or use this data when necessary to protect legitimate prevailing interests in the clarification of any legal misuse or violation of our terms and conditions of use, even beyond the provider/user relationship, and to forward it to law enforcement agencies or injured third parties where any actual misuse has been documented.

We will process or use your data for advertising purposes only with your consent. You can give this consent when registering by selecting the "yes" option next to "I wish to be kept up-to-date on new products and services" on the registration form. This consent can be withdrawn any time by sending an e-mail to kundendaten@beuth.de

Data which can not be revoked includes any information that, when deleted, would infringe upon any statutory or contractual retention periods, or data which is necessary for drawing up or modifying the contractual relationship, or which must be stored for invoicing purposes.

You may, at any time, request information on your personal data stored by us, either in writing or electronically. Please contact: onlinesupport@beuth.de

In order to best enable our website user functions such as the shopping basket, and to optimize user security, we are now using session cookies. These are saved by your browser, and remain active throughout your visit to our website. Cookies are deleted when you close your browser.

Cookies include a code which is only significant in the context of our online products, and which does not reveal any personal details of users.

If you wish, you can remove or delete each cookie from your browser. Please check your browser set-up for details of how to carry out this procedure.

The collection and storage of data may be revoked at any time with respect to subsequent services.

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how the site is used. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website is usually transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. If IP anonymization is activated on this website, within EU Member States or in other member states of the European Economic Area Google will shorten your IP address before transmitting it. Your full IP address will only be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there in exceptional cases. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for the website operator and providing other services for the website operator relating to website activity and internet usage. Google will not associate your browser’s IP address transmitted for Google Analytics purposes with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser; however, please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. Furthermore, you can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) and its processing by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in provided under the link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

Please note that the website uses the Google Analytics extension "anonymizeIp();" to ensure that IP addresses are used in shortened form in order to eliminate any direct reference to persons.

Rapidly changing internet applications may require us to modify our data protection information, and we will keep you informed of any changes.

An external, independent data protection officer monitors our actions to ensure legal conformity. The current data protection officer, Mr. Wenzel, can be contacted at datenschutz@din.de
