Short description

In consequence of the global effect of climate change also the climate of the cities is changing. Urban development projects have to consider this. Urban development as well as urban planning need specific and quantified results from climate and air quality studies. Only by taking into account all these facts, the planning interests "climate" and "air quality" can be considered during the political weighting and decision-making process next to other aspects. Therefore, this standard gives the necessary information and recommended measures to all persons in response of urban development (politicians, planners, technical experts) to enhance their decision-making and design scope.
