Rechtsanwalt seit 1986, war zwanzig Jahre lang Leiter von Rechtsabteilungen national und international tätiger Unternehmensgruppen im Stahlbau und Anlagenbau. Er ist jetzt vor allem als Rechtsanwalt, Wirtschaftsmediator und Schiedsrichter in nationalen und internationalen Schiedsverfahren tätig. Dr. Peter Hammacher ist seit langem Veranstalter und Referent bei Praktikerseminaren für Fach- und Führungskräfte. Er ist Lehrbeauftragter an der School of Architecture and Engineering, SRH Hochschule Heidelberg. Dr. Peter Hammacher ist Verfasser zahlreicher praktisch orientierter Veröffentlichungen zum Vertragsrecht und Konfliktmanagement.
