Overview:

ATV DIN 18323 "Clearing of unexploded ordnance" has been technically revised by the German Committee for construction contract procedures (DVA). It applies to the probing and recovering of abandoned unexploded ordnance as well as for preparatory work, such as clearing woodland, demolition and dismantling work which might represent a hazard by unexploded ordnance. It also applies for the removal of soil contaminated with unexploded ordnance and for transport of this excavation to the processing surfaces or separation plants on the building site.
