Overview

This document specifies the requirements for the supplier and PCB manufacturer for PCB design. This document is applicable for all types of PCBs, including sequential, rigid and flexible PCBs, HDI and RF PCBs. This document can be made applicable for other products combining mechanical and electrical functionality using additive or reductive manufacturing processes, as used in PCB manufacturing. Examples of such products are slip rings and bus bars. This document may be tailored for the specific characteristics and constraints of a space project in conformance with ECSS-S-ST-00. This document has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/CLC/TC 5 "Space", the secretariat of which is held by DIN (Germany). This document has been prepared specifically to deal with space systems and therefore takes precedence over any European Standard, as it has the same scope but a wider scope (for example aerospace). The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-06-02 AA "Interoperabilität von Informations-, Kommunikations- und Navigationssystemen" ("Interoperability of information, communication and navigation systems") at DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL).
