This standard is a process standard for "electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)". Further details about the scope of the standards of the VG 95370 series are contained in the abstract to VG 95370-1. VG 95370-17 specifies the test procedure which shall be used for demonstrating immunity of a system to field strengths of external transmitters in the frequency range 1 MHz to 40 GHz. This procedure demonstrates compliance with the test limits specified in VG 95370-27 or in the applicable project specification or otherwise agreed with the customer. On the base of the procedure, determination of immunity margins can be carried out using analytic methods, where required. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 140-00-20-02 UA "Elektromagnetische Verträglichkeit (EMV); Messverfahren, Messgeräte und Grenzwerte (NEA 763.2)" ("Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC); Test methods, test equipment and limits (NEA 763.2)") at DIN.
