General terms and conditions of Beuth Verlag relating to the Standards Flat Rate service

1. Subject and scope of Agreement

On subscribing to the Standards Flat Rate DIN service, the User acquires the right to receive DIN, DIN EN, DIN EN ISO, DIN ISO, DIN IEC and DIN ETS documents, depending on the quota selected, without any further costs accruing. Standards with a VDE classification and DIN SPEC and PAS documents and DIN-Fachberichte are excluded from the service.

On subscribing to the Standards Flat Rate VDI Standards service, the User acquires the right to receive VDI documents, depending on the quota selected, without any further costs accruing. VDI Manuals are excluded from the service.

On subscribing to the Standards Flat Rate ISO service, the User acquires the right to receive ISO documents, depending on the quota selected, without any further costs accruing. ISO Guides, ISO TTA ("Technical Trends Assessment") documents and ISO Handbooks are excluded from the service.

The Standards Flat Rate service is only open to companies and tradespeople. Reproduction and resale of documents obtained in the Standards Flat Rate service is prohibited.

Only one Standards Flat Rate quota account 25 or 50 can be opened per company and contract period. No further reductions can be given on the price of the Standards Flat Rate service.

2. Use of the service

Standards ordered in the Standards Flat Rate service can only be obtained by downloading them from the Beuth web shop (www.beuth.eu).

Only standards that can be immediately supplied can be purchased in the Standards Flat Rate service. Standards that are in preparation (i.e. at the pre-order stage) are not taken into consideration and cannot be purchased in the Standards Flat Rate service.


3. Validity period
The Standards Flat Rate quota account can be used 365 days following its activation. On expiry of this period, access to and the option to use the Standards Flat Rate quota account are cancelled.

One month before the validity period of the Standards Flat Rate quota account runs out, the User will receive an e-mail informing him of the imminent expiry of the Standards Flat Rate validity period.

On expiry of the validity period, any right to obtain documents in the Standards Flat Rate service is forfeited. Any credit remaining from the fee paid for use of the Standards Flat Rate quota will not be reimbursed.


4. Right of revocation
The User can revoke his declaration of intent to enter into a contract within two weeks, in text form (e.g. letter, fax, e-mail), without giving any grounds. This two week period begins with his reception of this instruction on his right of revocation. To comply with the time limit, dispatch in good time is sufficient.

Documents already purchased in the Standards Flat Rate service will then be invoiced at their full (100%) list price.


5. Other provisions
The "General terms and conditions for downloading standards" also apply in addition to the General terms and conditions governing the use of the Standards Flat Rate service.
