Abstract: The guideline deals with the calculation of the economic efficiency of building installations. It applies to all building types. Because the calculation of the power requirement is made step by step, the guideline ist divided in several parts. Part 1 gives an overview about the complete works of the series of guidelines. The essential fundamentals and terms and definitions are explained in this guideline. The standards and guidelines as well as special terms and definitions belonging to the calculations in each time are listed in the corresponding parts.
