Overview
The DIN SPEC describes processes for PIN generation, PIN verification, and the possibility for customers to change their PIN. The aim is to define uniform specifications for the implementation of these processes in the banking industry. For this reason, a generic description of the procedure has been chosen which, on the one hand, offers sufficient flexibility for implementation, but, on the other hand, specifies framework conditions that are necessary for secure operation.
