Short description
This guideline is intended to simplify the communication between users and producers in micro milling. It describes a test work piece to validate the capabilities of CNC machine tools used in micro milling. This provides a solution for an efficient and comparable verification of the abilities of different micro-milling machines. The test work piece also serves to recurrently analyse the actual status of the machine in practical use. In addition to the geometry and the type of machining, the material and the tools to be used are specified to determine the most important influencing factors on the machining quality.
