Short description

The standard describes a procedure for the verification of the test process suitability of measurements on coordinate measuring machines. The described procedure uses the uncertainty of measurement in comparison to the feature tolerance for the verification of the test process suitability. Tables list individual uncertainties and the associated test process suitability determining the characteristic for the common test process suitability. The procedure is designed in a way that it is applicable not only for coordinate measuring machines, but can be transferred to other measurement methods. The underlying tables are included in the standard on CD-ROM in form of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets as well as sample files for direct application.
