Here you will find helpful information on shipping your orders and on downloading orders from our webshop.

  • A fee is also charged for the postage of printed documents.

Postage is calculated based on final weight and delivery service. The cost is dependent on the products ordered (weight) and the delivery address. The final price is visible on the order summary page before submitting your order. Customers outside Germany should contact the International Customer Service for more information.

If you wish to receive your invoice separate to the order itself, we charge a fee of €2.00.

  • For products from standards bodies for which Beuth Verlag has the printing rights, you will receive your shipment within 3 to 5 business days.

  • Click on the link and then on the dialogue option “Save” or “Save file to disc”. Open the zip file and extract the files inside after the download is complete.

Microsoft has confirmed that the issue lies with the aforementioned Microsoft products. Please refer to the help and solutions offered here.

  • Please try downloading it again. You can do this by clicking on “Download orders” in the navigation bar. Your download orders will be available for 30 business days, no matter what!

We transfer data using either the ftp protocol or the http protocol. Numbers of standards (document identifiers) and titles of publications are transferred using the http protocol. This protocol reacts sensitively to the slightest network glitches. If this happens to you, try downloading with ftp. If this doesn’t work, it may be that downloading via this protocol is blocked on your computer. You will need to contact your IT dept. in this case,

and they will need this information: “Beuth Verlag is transferring FTP data using the main port, Port 21”. We allow the active and passive transfer and receipt of data via ftp. This means that our computer dictates which port is used or makes a suggestion.

You can check yourself whether your computer’s connection with our ftp server (using Windows) is working or not. To do this, go to Start and enter the following command: ftp ftp.din.de
(confirm with "OK" then click "Exit" to leave the DOS interface)
If the connection is working, this message will show: "Connected to ux14webvirt.orgdv.din.de..."

  • Your computer must meet the following technical requirement in order to download standards:

    • Windows 7/8/10
    • MS Internet Explorer from Version 9.0, Mozilla Firefox or Chrome
    • Acrobat Reader from Version 10.0, or as a Plug-in
