Short description
This guideline applies only in conjunction with guideline VDI/VDE 3512 Part 1. By and large, temperature measurements in building systems automation and room automation can be divided into five fields of application: - measurement of air temperature indoors and outdoors; - measurement of air temperature in pipelines and ducts; - measurement of the sensed temperature indoors and outdoors; - measurement of the temperature of liquids - mostly water - in pipelines and containers; - measurement of the temperature of exhaust gases Each of these measurement tasks has led to typical structural solutions for temperature sensors. The majority of the products offered on the market today are of the designs described in VDI/VDE 3512 Part 1.
