The standard describes in detail mounting solutions for nitrogen gas springs for large stamping dies standardised in VDI 3003 and VDI 3003 Part 2 to Part 4. The mountings solutions correspond to the diameters of the cylindric tubes of the different gas springs. Thus a direct correlation of all mountings to the corresponding spring size and spring type can be realised.
