Short description
Qualified technical decisions within BIM projects are only possible on the basis of quality-assured information. The necessary information quality results from the need for technical decisions. The conversion of the technical information requirement into technical-formal information requirements is a complex task that requires special competences and should be based on experience and a standardised approach. This description or ordering of data takes place in the form of employers information requirements (EIR). Early and regular sharing of work statuses, the transfer and use of data are core elements of BIM and enable better communication, coordination, efficiency, transparency and control. The necessary conventions, processes, rules, and technical support are documented in the BIM execution plan (BEP) and form the backbone of information creation. The standard describes the structure of EIR and BEP.
