Overview

In this part the schema files of communication modules and of the protocol (.xsd) referred to in Part 601 of this pre-standard are displayed in text format. The namespace for integration of the scheme files is not listed. The schema definitions have been prepared in English, with the exception of intersection config data (light system signal supply data mainly used in German-speaking countries), and are not translated. All files described here are incorporated starting from their root element into the protocol.xsd within the element "data". The root element is each element marked with the comment ("object type") in the annotation of the element. Simultaneously, the object type indicated serves as an identifier of this data type. This pre-standard applies for road traffic technology systems. The scope covers all sections of traffic control and routing, primarily in the municipal sector. This pre-standard describes an "interface between central components for the exchange of traffic-related data". It contains provisions for the protocol and data structures. This pre-standard is applicable to entire systems and to subsystems and equipment within an overall system. The responsible committee is Subcommittee UK 713.3 "Straßenverkehrs-Signalanlagen" ("Road traffic signal systems") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
