This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 062-03-13 AA "Gemeinschaftsarbeitsausschuss NA 062/FGSV: Gesteinskörnungen; Prüfverfahren, Petrographie, Probenahme und Präzision" ("Joint working group NA 062/FGSV: Aggregates; test methods, petrography, sampling and precision") at the Materials Testing Standards Committee (NMP) at DIN. This standard specifies a method for determining the resistance to crushing of aggregates larger than 32 mm during the impact test. The fraction that passes through a defined test sieve is the measurand. The result of the impact test is affected by the particle shape of aggregates larger than 32 mm. This standard applies to crushed and broken aggregates larger than 32 mm for road construction.
