This first amendment to DIN 14530-5/A1 to the November 2011 edition of the standard includes, among other things, requirements for pressurized water-tight plug-in devices in IP 67. Furthermore, text clarifications and marginal changes to loading components are made. The amendment to the standard planned with the first draft amendment E DIN 14530-5/A1:2014-01 with regard to the vehicle mass specification will be postponed for a short time due to the need for further consultation and will be incorporated into a further, second amendment to the standard DIN 14530-5/A2, which is still to be published. A consolidated new version of DIN 14530-5 - in which all amendments will be incorporated - will be published when work on the planned further amendment to DIN 14530-5/A2 with regard to vehicle mass determination has been completed. This amendment to the standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 031-04-06 AA "Allgemeine Anforderungen an Feuerwehrfahrzeuge - Löschfahrzeuge - SpA zu CEN/TC 192/WG 3" ("General requirements for fire fighting and rescue service vehicles - Fire fighting vehicles - Mirror committee for CEN/TC 192/WG 3") of DIN Standards Committee Firefighting and Fire Protection (FNFW).
