ATV DIN 18317 "Road construction - Asphalt surfacings" has been editorially revised by the German Committee for Construction Contract Procedures (DVA). Clause 5 "Settlement of accounts" has been restructured. This standard covers the flexible pavement of roads of any type, including paved open spaces, airfields, courtyards, and railway tracks and platforms, the term "pavement" being understood to cover the asphalt base, the asphalt base course, any asphalt binder courses, and the asphalt surface/wearing course, and surface dressing, asphalt protection layers and asphalt surface/wearing courses on bridge decks.
