This standard shall be applied to telescopic master slave manipulators which are used in high radiation fields, mostly hot cells with shielding made of lead and steel. This standard specifies the minimum requirements which are placed on telescopic master slave manipulators and criteria which shall be observed for their use. This standard also gives instructions for acceptance tests on the devices. The dimensions and the designation of the telescopic master slave manipulators are specified in DIN 25409-3. Instructions for use see Supplement to DIN 25409.
