This standard has been prepared by Subcommittee NA 087-00-15-03 UA "Fahrgastraum" ("Passenger area") of Working Committee NA 087-00-15 AA "Zustand der Eisenbahnfahrzeuge" ("State of railway vehicles") of the Railway Standardization Committee (FSF), in coordination with other working committees of the FSF and the German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies (DKE) and contains safety specifications. The standards of the complete works "State of railway vehicles" represent a uniform and system-compatible normative document which specifies the limit state for the safe operation and processes to maintain the target state of standard gauge railway vehicles. The general field of application of this standard is specified in DIN 27200:2011-11, clause 1 and 3.1. This standard applies to entrance doors of the type of construction folding doors for passenger areas of a) passenger vehicles; b) railcars; c) multiple unit trains. This standard shall be used by analogy for railway vehicles with deviating types of construction.
