This part of DIN 33961 specifies requirements and test procedures for the operation of fitness studios when equipment-supported strength training is offered. This part of DIN 33961 applies to facilities whose access and supervision are regulated by the operator. This part of DIN 33961 should be read in conjunction with DIN 33961-1. This part of DIN 33961 does not specify any requirements for stationary training equipment according to DIN EN 957 (all parts) or stationary training equipment for medical purposes according to Directive 93/42/EEC. The requirements and test procedures for primary and secondary preventive equipment-supported cardiovascular training are defined in DIN 33961-2 and for primary and secondary preventive group training in DIN 33961-3.
