The standard specifies terminal and mounting dimensions as well as layout of circuit-breakers with rated voltage of 420 V. It applies to three-pole circuit-breakers in accordance with DIN EN 62271-100 (VDE 0671-100), consisting of three individual poles. Each pole contains a supporting pillar. The attachment interface is either on the upper edge of the pillar (Design 1) or on the bottom edge of the supporting structure (Design 2). For circuit-breakers in accordance with Design 1, the supporting pillar belongs to the scope of supply of the circuit-breaker. The responsible Committee is Subcommittee UK 432.1 "Hochspannungs-Schaltgeräte" ("High-voltage switchgear and controlgear") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Informational Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
