This standard applies to oils which are used in refrigerant compressors for lubricating and cooling and which are thereby exposed to liquid and gaseous refrigerants. This standard has been prepared by Joint Working Committee NA 044-00-09 GA of the Refrigeration Technology Standards Committee (FNKä), in collaboration with the Petroleum, Fuels, Lubricants and Related Products Standardization Committee (FAM) of the Materials Testing Standards Committee (NMP).
