This document specifies a method for determination of the content of vanadium and nickel as mass fraction in the range > 1 mg/kg in fuel oils, residual oils and middle distillates with atomic absorption spectrometry (ASS) or by optical emission spectral analysis with inductively coupled plasma (ICP-OES).
This document replaces DIN 51790-4:1988-11 .
