This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 062-06-61 AA "Prüfung von Schmierölen, sonstigen Ölen und Paraffinen" ("Testing of lubricating oils, other oils and Paraffin") of the Fachausschuss Mineralöl- und Brennstoffnormung (FAM) (Standardization Committee for petroleum, fuels, lubricants and related products (FAM)) of the Materials Testing Standards Committee (NMP) at DIN. The specified procedure is used for the mechanical-dynamic testing of lubricating oils in the roller bearing test apparatus FE8. The test bearing to be applied is the axial cylindrical roller bearing.
