Overview

This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 062-03-13 AA "Gemeinschaftsarbeitsausschuss NA 062/FGSV: Gesteinskörnungen; Prüfverfahren, Petrographie, Probenahme und Präzision" ("Joint working group NA 062/FGSV: Aggregates; test methods, petrography, sampling and precision") at the Materials Testing Standards Committee (NMP). This document specifies methods for sampling aggregates. The purpose of sampling is to obtain a test portion suitable for the determination of one or more characteristic(s) of a basic population. With this test portion, it is intended to determine the average quality or deviations from the average quality of the basic population. The basic population can be a rock deposit, production volume, delivery quantity, quantity of the partial delivery (for example cargo), stock or a structure (for example revetment).
