DIN 6171:2017-02

This standard specifies color ranges for surface colors of non-retroreflective, retroreflective and fluorescent retroreflective materials for traffic signs and traffic installations in all traffic sectors. This does not apply to fixed, vertical road traffic signs, for which the DIN EN 12899 series of standards shall be used. Further requirements for the color of traffic signs in the individual traffic sectors, for example regarding their durability, are defined between the manufacturer and the consumer, for example by the technical quality or delivery conditions. This standard has been prepared by NA 025-00-25 GA "Aufsichtfarben für Verkehrszeichen und Reflexstoffe zur Verkehrssicherung" ("Surface colours for traffic signs and retroreflective sheeting materials for traffic safety purposes") at DIN Standards Committee Colour (FNF).
