This document has been prepared by NA 025-00-25 GA "Aufsichtfarben für Verkehrszeichen und Reflexstoffe zur Verkehrssicherung" ("Surface colours for traffic signs and retroreflective sheeting materials for traffic safety purposes"). The retroflective sheetings indicated in this standard of various retroflective foil structures and their photometric minimum requirements apply for traffic signs and transportation facilities in road and rail transport as well for aviation and shipping. Fixed, vertical road traffic signs are excluded for which standard series DIN EN 12899 shall be used. Other requirements for these retroflective sheeting materials, for example, for their durability or the selection of certain angle combinations of this standard, are specified between manufacturer and user, for example, by technical delivery and quality conditions.
