DIN EN 1330-1:2015-05

This part of this European Standard is concerned with the general terms used in non-destructive testing, but which stem from other fields (electricity, vacuum technology, metrology, etcetera). For the sake of consistency, the definitions of these terms, which already exist in the documents mentioned in Clause 2 and which are internationally recognized are also applied to non-destructive testing. This document (EN 1330-1:2014) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 138 "Non-destructive testing", the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR (France). The responsible national committee is Working Committee NA 062-08-20 AA "Zerstörungsfreie Prüfung; Obleuteausschuss" ("Non-destructive testing; Advisory group") of the Materials Testing Standards Committee (NMP) at DIN.
