This European Standard defines general terms relating to timber stairs or to timber in prefabricated stairs, including wood-based materials for dwellings and buildings other than dwellings for permanent use. This document has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 175 "Round and sawn timber", the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR (France). The responsible German standards committee is NA 042-01-14 AA "Rund- und Schnittholz - SpA zu CEN/TC 175 & ISO/TC 218" ("Round and sawn wood - mirror committee CEN/C 175 & ISO/TC 218") at the Timber and Furniture Standards Committee (NHM) at DIN.
This document replaces DIN EN 14076:2004-10 .
