This standard specifies a method for determining the long-term behaviour of glass-reinforced thermosetting plastics (GRP) pipes under internal hydrostatic pressure at a specified temperature. This method may be used to obtain data to establish internal pressure versus time-to-failure relationships at different temperatures. The standard is directed to manufacturers, test laboratories and users of glass-reinforced thermosetting plastics (GRP) pipes. In particular, the standard contains aspects of quality and product safety. The Committee responsible for this standard is NA 054-05-09 AA "Rohre und Rohrleitungsteile aus Reaktionsharzformstoffen" ("Pipes and pipe fittings made of reaction resin moulded materials") at DIN.
This document replaces DIN EN 1447:2009-07 .
