This European Standard specifies a method of determining the ability of adhesive bonds to resist long-term sustained load applied vertical to the glue lines. The method is used to test and assess the suitability of PUR adhesives according to EN 15425 and EPI adhesives according to EN 16254 for load-bearing timber structures. Bonded test pieces are subjected to long-term sustained load applied vertical to the glue lines at cyclic climate conditions. The test climate is at natural outdoor conditions in Europe between latitude 45° and 60°. The loaded samples are protected with light penetrable covering ("Glass house"). The specifications of the withdrawn draft DIN EN 15416-1:2006-01 and DIN EN 14080:2013-09, B.2, DIN EN 15497:2014-07, DIN EN 16254:2014-02, Annex B and the draft DIN EN 16351:2011-12 are to be standardized. The responsible committee for this standard is NA 042-04-05 AA "Spiegelausschuss zu CEN/TC 193/SC 1 Holzklebung" ("Mirror committee for CEN/TC 193/SC 1 Wood adhesives") at DIN.
