Overview

This document (EN 1930:2011) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 252 "Child use and care articles", the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR. This document is currently submitted to Formal Vote. This document replaces EN 1930:2000. This European Standard specifies the safety requirements and test methods for child safety barriers for domestic indoor use; these are designed to be fitted across openings to limit a child's access inside the home in order to prevent young children up to 24 months of age passing through. This European Standard does not apply to products designed to be fitted across windows. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 042-05-13 AA "SpA CEN/TC 207/WG 2 Kindermöbel" ("Mirror Committee for CEN/TC 207/WG 2 Children's and nursery furniture") at DIN.
