This document constitutes the National Annex to DIN EN 1998-5:2010-12 "Eurocode 8: Design of structures for earthquake resistance - Part 5: Foundations, retaining structures and geotechnical aspects". This National Annex contains national specifications for the requirements, criteria and rules for the siting and foundation soil of structures for earthquake resistance which shall be taken into account when DIN EN 1998-5:2010-05 is applied. This National Annex applies only in connection with DIN EN 1998-5:2010-12. The Committee responsible for this standard is NA 005-51-06 AA "Erdbeben; Sonderfragen (Sp CEN/TC 250/SC 8)" ("Earthquakes; special issues (Mirror Committee of CEN/TC 250/SC 8)") at DIN.
