This document constitutes the National Annex to DIN EN 1999-1-2:2010-12, "Eurocode 9: Design of aluminium structures - Part 1-2: Structural fire design". The European Standard EN 1999-1-2:2007-02 allows national safety parameters to be specified for a number of points. These nationally determined parameters (NDP) cover alternative procedures, the provision of individual values and the selection of classes from designated classification systems. The relevant parts of the text are identified in the European Standard by references to the possibility of national choice. Furthermore, this National Annex of EN 1991-1-2 contains non-contradictory complementary information and explanations as NCI, which are permitted according to Guidance Paper L "Application and use of Eurocodes" of the European Commission, and regulations for the application of the informative annexes of DIN EN 1991-1-2. This national annex is part of DIN EN 1999-1-2:2010-12 and applies only in connection with DIN EN 1999-1-2:2010-12. The standard DIN EN 1999-1-2 on which this standard is based contains calculation methods and specifications for proof of fire protection with regards to aluminium structures. Amongst other things, a number of national, usually safety parameters are given in DIN EN 1999-1-2 which are specified by this standard. This standard contains further specifications for the application of the informative annexes in DIN EN 1999-1-2. The national safety parameters specified in this standard have been determined with regards to maintenance of the required national security level. This standard DIN EN 1999-1-2/NA has been prepared by the Building and Civil Engineering Standards Committee (NABau), Working Committee NA 005-52-22 AA "Konstruktiver baulicher Brandschutz (Spiegelausschuss zu Teilbereichen von CEN/TC 250)" ("Structural fire protection (Mirror Committee of parts of CEN/TC 250)").
