Overview

The EN 4165 standard series describes modular rectangular electrical connectors for an operating temperature of 175 °C continuous, for aerospace applications. Part 025 defines the single module receptacle used in the family of rectangular electrical connectors. The receptacle corresponding to this plug is defined in EN 4165-024. Accessories and protective cover corresponding to those plugs are defined in EN 4165-026. The cavity of this connector is uncoded, so it can accept polarized modules N, A, B, C and D as defined in EN 4165-002. The standards of the EN 4165 series have been prepared by ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrics, Avionics, with the participation of German experts of the Aerospace Standards Committee. The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) declared the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD-STAN) responsible for the preparation of European standards (EN) for the field of aerospace. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-03 AA "Elektrische Verbindungselemente" ("Connector") of the Aerospace Standards Committee at DIN.
