Overview

Standard DIN EN 4526 is intended to be part of the series of EN non-metallic materials standards for aerospace applications. The general organisation of this series is described in EN 4258. The standard DIN EN 4526 describes requirements for sharp edge-notch tensile testing for sheet and strip for aerospace applications. They shall be applied when referred to EN 4526 in the EN Technical Specification or material standard unless otherwise specified on the drawing, order or inspection schedule. This document DIN EN 4526:2013 has been prepared by ASD-STAN, Technical Section Metallic Materials, with the participation of German experts of the Aerospace Standards Committee. The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) declared the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD-STAN) responsible for the preparation of European standards (EN) for the field of aerospace. ASD became the associated body (ASB) of CEN by the agreement dated 1986-10-03. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-01-01 AA "Stähle" ("Steels") of the Aerospace Standards Committee at DIN.
