DIN EN 50085-2-1:2012-09

This European Standard specifies requirements and tests for cable trunking systems and cable ducting systems intended for the accommodation, and where necessary, for the holding apart or separation of insulated conductors, cables and possibly other electrical equipment in electrical installations or communication systems. The maximum voltage of these installations is 1 000 V a.c. and 1 500 V d.c. The systems are intended for mounting on walls and/or ceilings. They may be embedded, partially embedded, surface mounted or mounted away from the surface using fixing devices. This standard does not apply to conduit systems, cable tray systems and cable ladder systems, power track systems or equipment covered by other standards. This standard shall be used in conjunction with EN 50085-1:2005 "Cable trunking systems and cable ducting systems for electrical installations - Part 1 General requirements" which is referred to in this document as Part 1. The responsible committee is UK 543.2 "Führungssysteme für Kabel und Leitungen" ("Cable management") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
