Overview

The object of this standard is to investigate the effects of high humidity (air or vapour) but at constant temperature on specimens stored or used over a prescribed period. During this process, condensation shall not occur. The resistance of equipment parts or devices in such environments is examined and assessed by means of the illustrated method. The responsible committee is DKE/K 131 "Umgebungsbedingungen, Klassifizierung und Prüfungen" ("Environmental conditions, classification and methods of test") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
