Corrigendum 1 to DIN EN 60335-2-54 (VDE 0700-54):2009-07 refers to subclause 20.101. The text of the subclause is amended as follows: 20.101 Appliances shall be constructed so that inadvertent operation is unlikely or that they are operated by using a switch which automatically returns to off-position if its switch actuator is released. Test: Inspection of appliances which are operated by a switch which automatically returns to-off position if its switch actuator is released. For other appliances, application of a cylindrical rod having a diameter of 40 mm and a hemispherical end to the switch. The appliance shall not operate. It is recommended to refer to this corrigendum on the standard concerned. The responsible Committee is Subcommittee UK 511.11 "Motorische Geräte" ("Motor-operated appliances") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
