DIN EN 60730-2-15:2011-02

In the new edition of this standard, the requirements of the previous standards IEC 60730-2-15, -16 and -18 have been summarized. This standard contains requirements for electrical properties of air flow, water flow and water level sensing controls and requirements for mechanical properties which may have an influence on their intended operation and electrical safety. This part of the International Standard IEC 60730 applies to automatic electrical air flow, water flow and water level sensing controls for use in or in connection with water boilers with a nominal pressure of up to 2 000 kPa (20 bar) and devices for household or similar use, including controls for heaters, air conditioners and similar applications. This standard also applies for controls of devices which are within the scope of IEC 60335-1 and IEC 60364-7-702. This standard is not applicable for controls which have been exclusively designed for industrial applications. It is also not applicable for pressure-operated air flow, water flow and water level sensing controls, the requirements of which are contained in IEC 60730-2-6. The responsible Committee is K 515 "Regel- und Steuergeräte" ("Controls") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
