This standard specifies the performance requirements for self-ballasted LED lamps with supply voltages up to 250 V together with the test methods and conditions, required to show compliance with this standard. The LED lamps are intended for domestic and similar general lighting purposes, having - a rated power up to 60 W, - a rated voltage of alternating current or direct current up to 250 V, - a lamp cap as listed in IEC 62560. The performance requirements are additional to the safety requirements according to IEC 62560. The requirements of this standard apply to the type test only. This standard covers LED lamps that intentionally produce white light, based on inorganic LEDs. Recommendations for whole product testing or batch testing are under consideration. The responsible body is DKE/UK 521.1 "Elektrische Lampen" ("Electrical lamps") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
