This International Standard describes a method for determining the water permeability characteristics of geotextiles or geotextile-related products normal to the plane when subjected to specific normal compressive loads. The flow of water normal to the plane of a geotextile or geotextile-related product is measured under a range of constant heads under a compressive stress of 2 kPa, 20 kPa and 200 kPa. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 106-01-11 AA "Geotextilien und Geokunststoffe; SpA zu CEN/TC 189 und ISO/TC 221" ("Geotextiles and geosynthetics; Mirror Committee of CEN/TC 189 and ISO/TC 221") at DIN.
