The document specifies requirements for the design, construction, workmanship, inspection and acceptance of refillable quenched and tempered seamless steel tubes for transport and distribution of compressed and liquefied gases. Amendment A1 provides additional requirements for the design of tubes for embrittling gases. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 016-00-03 AA "Druckgasflaschen und Ausrüstung; Spiegelausschuss zu CEN/TC 23 und ISO/TC 58" ("Gas cylinders and equipment; Mirror Committee of CEN/TC 23 and ISO/TC 58") at DIN.
