Overview

EN ISO 17575 is part of a series of standards that ensure interoperability for autonomous fee collection systems (EFC systems). It includes EFC content data, its change notice and its use of the communication infrastructure. This series of standards also supports dedicated short-range communication links in the context of on-board equipment for autonomous electronic fee collection to enable random checks by the executive authorities. The application interface is defined in ISO 13141:2015. Within EFC standardization, this standard specifies the process and tests for conformity testing of on-board and roadside systems in accordance with the requirements in ISO 12813:2015. The standard thus serves EFC system manufacturers in order to test the quality of their systems and thus ensure interoperable tolling systems.
