Overview

Amendment A1 deals with the extension of the field of application for piping systems made from PVC-C, type I, to underfloor heating and low temperature radiators (application class 4 according to ISO 10508) for allowable design pressures of 4 bar to 6 bar. The European Amendment A1 has been prepared by CEN/TC 155 "Plastics piping systems and ducting systems" (secretariat: NEN, the Netherlands), in collaboration with ISO/TC 138/SC 2 "Plastics pipes and fittings for water supplies" (secretariat: Switzerland). The responsible German Committee is Joint Working Committee NA 119-04-06-05 GUA "Kunststoffrohre in der Trinkwasserversorgung - Warm- und Kaltwasserleitungen" ("Plastic pipes in the drinking water supply - Hot water and cold water pipes") of NAW.
