Overview

This European Standard specifies a method for checking the ability of assembled uniaxial joints between fittings and plastic pressure pipes to withstand longitudinal tensile stresses. This standard is intended for use by manufacturers and users of these socket joints and the testing institutes involved. In particular, the standard covers product safety aspects. DIN EN ISO 3501 is the German version of the European standard EN ISO 3501 which has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 155 "Plastics piping systems and ducting systems". The committee responsible for DIN EN ISO 3501 is NA 054-05-02 AA "Prüfverfahren für Rohre" ("Test methods for pipes") at DIN.
