Overview

This part of the series of standards specifies a method for determining the flexural creep of plastics in the form of standard test specimens under specified conditions such as those of pretreatment, temperature and humidity. It applies only to a simple freely supported beam loaded at mid-span (three-point-loading test). The standard contains the amendment EN ISO 899-2:2003/A1:2015. This amendment extends and specifies the information given in A.2 "Creep at increased temperatures" of the informative Annex A "Physical ageing effects of creep tests on polymers". The committee responsible for this standard is NA 054-01-02 AA "Mechanische Eigenschaften und Probekörperherstellung" ("Mechanical properties and preparation of test specimens") at DIN.
